Sam fell in love with the beautiful game watching FC Barcelona and trying to emulate Ronaldinho's juggling tricks. Today, he supports West Ham United from afar and New York City FC from Section 214A at Yankee Stadium, every game.
Growing up, Sam played for premier-level clubs Delaware Soccer Club and Buffalo United (now Empire United), before playing club soccer at Stony Brook University. Following a brief loan spell at Mansfield Road Football Club of the Oxfordshire Senior League's Premier Division in Oxford, England, Sam currently plays for Central Park Rangers of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League.
When his legs give out, he will retire and coach. He spends his days contemplating the finer points of intellectual property law at a firm in New York City.
A native of Rochester New York, Stephanie played for Empire United Revolution, Chili United FC and was captain of the Gates Chili Varsity High School Soccer and Lacrosse teams. She continued her soccer career at Rochester Institute of Technology where she graduated with a BS in New Media Publishing with a concentration in Advertising and Media Strategy. After graduating, she worked for the Western New York Flash Women’s Professional NWSL team and continued to play in women’s premier leagues on the East Coast.
Stephanie’s ninth year of coaching has allowed her to gain experience coaching teams with New England Revolution’s US Development Academy as well as High School Varsity, JV, and Freshmen teams.
In San Francisco, she was the head coach of the West Ham United International Academy where identified players were sent to England to train with the West Ham United Academy. Stephanie is the first West Ham United femalecoach to train in England and earn the West Ham United Diploma. Stephanie is now the Academy Director at Thunder United Metro in Ohio.
Stephanie loves all things soccer, dogs, and design. And more dogs, specifically Orion and Jezebel.
A proud resident of Dayton, Ohio, Josh has been surrounded by sports his entire life but chose the beautiful game of soccer as his primary sport in middle school and has never looked back. In high school, he played for Ohio Galaxies FC and Ohio Elite, which was a member of the US Soccer Development Academy.
After high school, Josh played four years of soccer at Mount Vernon Nazarene University as a Center Midfielder. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English and recently completed a Master of Arts in Literature at the University of Toledo.
Josh is a seasoned “Columbus Till I Die” fan of the Columbus Crew and currently being groomed as a Tottenham Hotspur fan. Josh has coached several youth soccer teams in Ohio and plans on coaching at the college level in the future. He has been fortunate enough to see soccer truly be the world’s sport as he has played in Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Turkey, South Africa, and Brazil. He is currently a personal soccer trainer in Southern Ohio.
